Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Logistics Supervisor to oversee and coordinate the daily operations of our logistics unit. The ideal candidate will ensure the smooth and cost-effective flow of goods, manage transportation and distribution activities, and lead a team to meet organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate with existing transporters and arrange new ones as needed to fulfil daily operational requirements for trucks and tankers.
Monitor and maintain accurate records of material dispatches and receipts.
Track the status of current contracts, manage new contract onboarding, and ensure timely renewals.
Identify and onboard new transporters and tanker owners to expand the logistics network.
Verify Goods in Transit (GIT) insurance coverage for each transporter and ensure timely renewals.
Provide daily updates on truck availability to meet operational demands.
Possess thorough knowledge of logistics routes across Nigeria, transporter networks, and current freight rates.
Prior experience in a similar logistics or transportation role is required.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
Proven experience (3+ years) in logistics or supply chain supervision.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in logistics software and MS Office (Excel, Word).
Knowledge of transportation management, inventory control, and warehouse operations.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Salary: 200k-300k
