Job Description:
- The preferred candidate must have worked or currently working in a PFA.
- The Fund Accounting Manager will be responsible for accurate accounting, valuation, reporting, and reconciliation of all funds under management.
- This role ensures full compliance with pension industry regulations, internal controls, and standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure an effective and accurate management of all assigned funds.
- Prepare the valuation process and review fund valuations to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Generate accurate monthly fee invoices and prepare them for executive approval.
- Analyse and review daily unit prices, investigating and resolving unusual variations.
- Manage fund transfers across various RSA (Retirement Savings Account) funds.
- Prepare and submit RMAS and other statutory regulatory reports in a timely manner.
- Prepare management accounts for all funds under management, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to resolve reconciliation issues promptly.
- Ensure full compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Identify operational exceptions and problems in fund accounting processes, escalate appropriately, and assist in their resolution.
- Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes and ensure all fund accounting operations align with pension regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in a numerate discipline such as Finance, Accounting, Economics
- 5 – 8 years’ experience as a Fund Manager in a Pension Fund Administrator company.
- MBA or relevant Master’s degree in any business-related discipline
- Relevant professional certifications such as CFA, ICAN, CITN
- In-depth knowledge of Fund Accounting
- Knowledge of Financial Reporting
- Understanding of regulatory compliance
- Experience in using relevant accounting software
- In-depth knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Exceptional Communication (Written and Oral).
Salary
N500,000 – N600,000 monthly.
