Your Role: Fixed Income Trader & Operations Associate II
As a Fixed Income Trader & Operations Associate II, you will oversee all aspects of our fixed income product offering, including the buying and selling of U.S. Treasury Bonds, Bills, and Corporate Bonds. You will also play a key role in building out the product offering and operational structure, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, managing client communications, and leading projects to optimize our fixed income services.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the Fixed Income Subject Matter Expert, overseeing all aspects of the firm’s fixed income products.
- Manage day-to-day operations, including trade execution, clearing, settlements, and corporate actions, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with internal teams (trading, operations) and external partners (execution venues, custodians) to document and refine daily workflows.
- Leverage technology to streamline trading and operational processes, improving efficiency across the fixed income lifecycle.
- Provide feedback and actionable recommendations to continuously enhance the Fixed Income product offering.
- Work closely with Compliance to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, contributing to the development and maintenance of the firm’s written supervisory procedures.
Who You Are (Must-Haves)
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in the fixed income industry.
- Deep understanding of fixed income trading, regulatory requirements, and operational processes, including execution, reconciliations, corporate actions, and tax considerations.
- Hands-on experience with clearing and settling Fixed Income products, particularly through FICC.
- Proficiency in SQL and Google Suite; familiarity with additional data analysis or workflow tools is a plus.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop effective solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Licenses Preferred: Series SIE, 99, 57, and 24 (not required but a plus).
